EXPLORE

Beran Island

In one of the most remote regions of the world sits this 45-acre private atoll that offers easy access to some of the best surf in the Marshall Islands – two of the most consistent breaks can be viewed from the lodge. The surf in the Marshalls is predominantly right-handers and ranges from “gentleman” waves to smokin’ barrels. Northwest to Northeast swells are most frequent between mid-October to mid-April. And as the Beran Island crew has been exploring the area’s surf for more than 10 seasons, they offer invaluable insight on where to go, and when. When guests aren’t in the surf, they can enjoy the luxurious lodge featuring a living room and kitchen that is always stocked with cold beer, water and soda and is attended to by Chef Mango, who prepares fresh, gourmet meals made with ingredients from the on-site garden.

The lodge’s upstairs rooms include king size beds, large private bathrooms, and access to decks that open to spectacular, panoramic views. There is also a lofted space with a Queen bed, and a “king twin” below. The downstairs has four bedrooms that share two bathrooms. All bedrooms feature air conditioning, Haiku ceiling fans, Casper Mattresses, and imported linens.

The resort also includes a fleet featuring the MV Indies Trader 1 & 2, the Windward, a 23-foot Shark Cat, and four jet skis. The two main boats can accommodate up to 20 guests.

This is the place to go for families and groups of surfers wanting unparalled privacy and unoccupied waves.
